Children of the Horn
COTH dishes up a funky brew of R&B, World Beat, and New Orleans Second Line, and has opened for groups including Dirty Dozen Brass Band, P-Funk, and Dr. Lonnie Smith. In 2007 they were featured as an Independent Weekly "Band of the Month."

Crooked Smile Band

Fronted by singer/songwriter David Glenn Dyer, the band features Nashville veteran Allyn Love on pedal steel, with Triangle heavyweights Bernie Petteway (guitar) , Ken Weigand (bass, vocals) and Fran Dyer, (drums). CSB performs its rootsy Americana-style music throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

E.L.M. Collective

(aka Ecco La Musica)
Musicians/composers from five nations make up this "composer's collective." The music is a fusion of jazz and world sounds, blended with Arabic and Mediterranean influences. ELM recently debuted at the newly renovated Murphy School Auditorium, permanent home of Burning Coal Theater.

Mambo Crew
Mambo Crew performs classic Afro-Cuban dance/jazz music for parties, concerts, festivals, and clubs. The members have been performing together for over twenty years and have appeared at Raleigh NC's Artsplosure and the NC Museum of Art.
